Know all Men by these Presents, That we Daniel Brewerton single man and Maryann Millis single woman of the County of Sussex and State of Delaware are firmly held and bound unto Samuel Paynter, Governor and Commander in chief of the State of Delaware, in the sum of Five hundred pounds, good and lawful money of America, to be paid to the said Samuel Paynter, Esquire, or his successors; to the which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves jointly and severally, for and in the whole, our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals & Dated the Twenty Seventh day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twenty-Six.
The Condition of this Obligation is such, That if there shall not hereafter appear any lawful let or impediment, by reason of any pre-contract, consanguinity, affinity, or any other just cause whatsoever, but that the above mentioned Daniel Brewerton and Maryann Millis of the County and State above may lawfully marry; and that there is not any suit depending before any judge, ecclesiastical or civil, for or concerning any such pre-contract; and also if the said parties, and each of them, are of the ages following; to wit: female of eighteen and male of twenty-one years; and are not under the tuition of his or her parents, or have the full consent of his or her parents or guardians, respectively, to the said marriage, and if they or eighter of them are not indented servants; and do and shall save harmless and keep indemnified the above named Samuel Paynter esquire, ...

BURROUGHS - JEFFERSON

Miss Mildred Jefferson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Jefferson, and Amos Burroughs, son of Captain and Mrs. Charles Burroughs, both of Milton, were married in Brooklyn, N. Y., on Tuesday, December 27. The bride is a teacher in Milton's public school and is popular among the younger set. Mr. Burroughs is a deep water engineer, and had just returned from a trip south when he was met in New York on Tuesday by Miss Jefferson and married.

Know all Men by these Presents, That we Theadore C. Carey & R. D. COVERDALE - CALLOWAY

Mr. Levi J. Coverdale of Milton and Mrs. E. J. Calloway, of Jersey City, were married on Tuesday, April 30th, at the residence of the bridegroom's daughter, Mrs. W. B. Dougherty, at Pennsgrove, N. J. The happy pair arrived in Milton the following Thursday evening, and will reside on Mill street.
